As the season has progressed. This is my journal.

Description hunting area:

Area 1 - 500 yard long slough roughly 30 yards wide running North and South.

Area 2 - 1,200 yard long field ditch grown up with medium height trees and brush roughly 10 yards wide running East and West.

Area 3 - 500 yard long Big Ditch with water running roughly 30 yards wide running North and South.

Area 4 - 1,200 yard long fence row that turns into ditch 8 yards wide medium height trees and brush..

Area 5 - 124 acres of Beans and Cut Corn surrounded by Area's 1 thru 4.

Area 6 - Surround's this area with thousand's of acres of Cut Corn, Beans, Potatoes, Milo and Cotton.

Friday, September 3rd – 7:00 p.m.- Scott County, MO. – Made two Mock Scrapes in corner of field.
Using Hawgs Limited Buck Fever Synthetics – Pre and Post Rut & Forehead Gland Licking Branch Formula’s.


Tuesday, September 14th – 5:30 p.m. - Scott County, MO. – Put up old 1990 - 10’-0” Bear Ladder Stand in brushy fence row and Scrape is now active – Branch leaves striped off and limb broken, scrape bigger in diameter, also tracks in scrape and fresh tracks coming into area. Freshen scrape with Hawgs Forehead Gland Licking Branch Formula’s in a Hunter Specialties Scent Canister hung on branch.  

Wednesday, September 15th – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Scott County, MO. – Opening day of Missouri Bow season. Set up Flambeau Deer Decoy with set of small antlers. Scrape had been revisited in last 24 hours scent canister is now laying on ground additional tracks in scrape. Re-hung canister. Noting seen but a ton of mosquitoes.
Conditions - (Temperature 88 degrees, Humidity 61 percent, Barometer 29.90 falling, Sky Clear, Wind SSE 13 mph,
New Moon – Medium 19% DAI.)


September 21st - Hen
 


September 21st - Two Hens

Tuesday, September 21st – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Scott County, MO. –  Hung game camera next to deer stand. Re-filled canister with Hawgs Forehead Gland Licking Branch Formula. 

Doe came out of woods into bean field at 7:00 p.m. 300 yards away and stayed till 7:06 p.m. then going back into woods. At 7:20 p.m. same doe ran out into beans  and then right back into woods, but this time at 100 yards away.
Conditions - (Temperature 68 degrees, Humidity 65 percent, Barometer 30.19 steady, Sky Clear, Wind ESE 5 mph,
First Quarter Moon Highest 40% DAI.)

 


 
September 23rd - Doe still a snowflake.

Saturday, September 25th A.M. -6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Scott County, MO. - Hunted Deer stand then moved to where Area 2 and 3 meet. Nothing seen. Walked edge of ditches, fences and slough for signs of travel around 11:00 a.m. Found small scrape along Area 2 and tracks at Area 2 and 3 at water's edge along with deer pellets. Area 3 Lots of tracks and one rub with second broken tree on ditch bank, near lower beach type area covered with large tracks in the mud and water and one bedding spot. Area 4 had one spot with three beds and also one rub on a Poke Berry. Area 1 continuous trail thru middle about one foot wide with two rubs in the slough area no bedding noticed.

Conditions - (Temperature 61 to 80 degrees, Humidity 100 to 39 percent, Barometer 30.16 rising to 30.19 falling, Sky Cloudy to Clear, Wind Calm to NNE 8 mph, First Quarter Moon - Highest 25% DAI.)

Saturday, September 25th P.M.- 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Scott County, MO. - Put two canister with Hawg's Forehead Gland Licking Branch Formula. Set up game camera at Area 2 and moved to and hunted on ground at where Area 2 and 3 meet. Nothing seen.

Conditions - (Temperature 82 to 65 degrees, Humidity 34 to 65 percent, Barometer 30.16 falling to 30.16 rising, Sky Clear, Wind ENE 10 mph to ENE 3 mph, First Quarter Moon - Highest 25% DAI.)


 September 25th - 12:37 a.m. - 6 Point Buck

Wednesday, September 29th P.M. - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Scott County, MO. - Corn is now completely gone. Game camera had taken all pictures. Hunting Area 3 nothing seen.

Conditions - (Temperature 68 to 51 degrees, Humidity 45 to 86 percent, Barometer 30.07 falling to 30.08 steady, Sky Clear, Wind Calm, Full Moon - Low 16% DAI.)
