Matt McDonald's Deer Blind

This is the top of the stand which is where the fuel barrel sat and where the floor of the blind will sit.

This is one of the skids I have attached to make the blind portable. I used well maintained railroad ties that have angles cut at each end so the blind can be pulled from either end.

This is a pic of the fuel barrel stand with one runner attached.  I'm unsure how I will get up to the stand right now, but I hope to integrate the platform on the right side to have a step up into the blind instead of just climbing a ladder.

At this point I have removed all hardware and parts from the stand that do
not deal with the integrity of the stand.  The only modifications that will
have to be done is a piece will have to be welded onto one of the bottom
supports because it is rusted almost completely through.

I only have about $4 invested in the stand and those are in the lag bolts
which I used to attach the runners to the bottom.  I had the stand, the old
railroad ties and I have enough lumber to do the floor right now and some of
the walls.

I have the whole idea in my head and the only thing I have to figure out
right now is what windows I will put in and how I will do that.  I'd like to
keep it as cheap as possible so I probably won't add new windows.  I'll
either find some used windows or just use plywood on hinges to do the
windows.
