MISSOURI SPORTSMEN PRODUCT REVIEW PAGE 6

I hope to show you some different places you need to take a look at this year. This is just one of the many places I will visit this year, that struck my interest and might benefit you the hunter or fisherman in the next season. You will have to decide for yourself if this place is what you are missing.

BIG CEDAR LODGE

This makes the 2nd time but not the last time I will stay at Big Cedar Lodge Resort. You could never believe a place like this exists until you have been there.

This resort sits on a remote part Ozark Mountain countryside wrapped around the shores of Table Rock Lake, about 10 minutes from Branson. But far enough out of the way to have found the piece and quite you may be looking for.

Even thought I have been there twice and plan on a third trip this August, I will and have tried to see everything and do everything that Big Cedar has to offer. I still don’t know if that is possible.

I have taken guided fishing trip, which was very enjoyable, even caught a few Smallmouth that day. Or you can bring your own boat, or rent a fully equipped boat for fishing or skiing, or take a pontoon or canoe out for an hour or a day.

For you land lovers, you can also take horse back rides in the country, horse drawn carriage ride through Big Cedar, or covered wagon tours with of course a campfire stop over. They even throw in the singing cowboy.

For you health nuts they even have high or low impact aerobics, water exercise, general fitness or equipment or you can take to the outdoor on the jogging or hiking trails or take a few laps in the heated pool.

That is not all they also have miniature golf, golf, basketball court, board games, fishing pond for kids, horseshoes, kids pool, tennis court, bonfires, hot tubs, playground and a Big Cedar lodge kids club activities.

I will next time I go to Big Cedar, is check out the new Dogwood Canyon Nature Park with walking trails, biking trails, tram tours, glory hole tour, wildlife tour, guided trophy trout fishing, fly fishing clinics, jeep tours.

Also you can even get in some shopping in the very large gifts shops with things you never seen before. My favorite is the wood carved trout stream coffee table.

If you get hungry, oh my, you can take in the Devil’s Pool for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then head down to the Buzzard Bar for some local entertainment. He never did place some Hank Jr. for me. Not counting the other places to eat: Worman House Restaurant, Truman Smokehouse, and Top of the Rock. All these places are loaded with great food and history.

Like I said, this is a place you can go and never have to leave it you don’t want to, or you can go toBranson, or Springfield within 10 minutes or 45 minutes.

Be sure and check out the prices, this is not for the weak of heart, but it is worth every dime. I recommend at least one visit in your lifetime. But, check it out for yourself and decide.
